The European Child Sexual Abuse Legislation Advocacy Group (ECLAG) Steering Group and DOT Europe published a Joint Letter calling on Members of the European Parliament to swiftly adopt the extension of the temporary derogation to the ePrivacy Directive.
The statement highlights the importance of maintaining the current legal framework that enables online services to voluntarily detect, report and remove child sexual abuse material, and warns against proposals that would restrict the scope of these efforts.
