Trilogue discussions on the AI Act are expected to cover generative AI systems in the second half of 2023. The political imperative to achieve an agreement as soon as possible is very strong and policy makers will likely try to work through the text quickl DOT Europe believes that speed should not be to the detriment of quality and urges trilogue participants to adequately consider the various aspects and nuances of generative AI to ensure a balanced, workable text.
